A little About Me
Born and raised in New York and an island girl at heart, choosing to attend The University of Tampa was one of the most impactful decisions of my life. There, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Speech and Theatre Arts, developing a strong foundation in strategic communication, storytelling, public speaking, and audience engagement.
My professional journey has been anything but conventional, and that is what makes it unique. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across media, nonprofit, education, and digital communications spaces, each experience strengthening my ability to connect with people through meaningful communication.
As a Brand Ambassador and Sales Account Assistant with Hearst Media’s WMOR-TV, I gained firsthand experience in media relations, brand promotion, event marketing, and audience engagement. I later transitioned into the nonprofit sector as a Communications and Social Media Coordinator for Think Big for Kids, where I helped elevate the organization’s mission through strategic storytelling, content creation, fundraising support, and digital outreach.
My passion for creative communication also led me into freelance content creation, where I partnered with local businesses such as The Salad Station to develop engaging visual content and strengthen their social media presence.
Today, as an educator, I continue to apply these same communication principles every day. Teaching has strengthened my ability to connect with diverse audiences, simplify complex information, build meaningful relationships, and create engaging experiences that inspire action. Whether in a classroom, a marketing campaign, or a community initiative, I believe effective communication has the power to inform, inspire, and create lasting impact.
